summer rain

Why are you afraid to run through the rain?

Why do you deny yourself the child like pleasure

Of lifting your face to the thousand cold splashes

Bouncing off your skin to run over it and under your clothes

Why are you afraid to get your clothes wet and shoes dirty?

Run! And laugh! Feel your mood lift as the rain comes down

Splash through the puddle and watch it ripple out and back

Stretch out your arms and be grateful of this simple thing

The intense pleasure of being caught in a summer rainstorm

And feeling alive with life and the spirit of innocent joys

Wonderful! It just so happens that I LOVE jumping in mud puddles and running naked in the rain…

Twice I’ve gone out for a run in sunny weather, only to be caught in a downpour. Loved it. =)

and i would smile if i saw you as a kindred water spirit in love with the land and weather

I was out for another run today and was caught in another summer’s shower. I thought of you and your post; and because we erotic writer’s are allowed certain indiscretions, I imagined finding you, rougedmount, in the next lifetime. I would take you out into the long grasses. I would take off your clothes. I would mount you from behind so you could feel the warm rain on your back, the earth under your fingers, and so your dripping hair could trail forth and back in the mud; and so you could, when it comes, also feel the summer’s shower in your womb, warm, nourishing and thick. 🙂 And now I have to make this into a proper post.

As promised, and inspired by yours. 🙂
