winter is back

Winter

You offend all my sensibilities

Icy

Wind hurts exposed bare skin

Darkness

Crashes against my back

Knocking

Me into a breathless depression

Bare

And lonely tree limbs rattle

Heavy

Temporary pristine snowfalls

Turn

To a dirty grey and hardened slush

Hiding

The build-up of society’s debris

Beautiful

Imagery temporarily hides your brutality

Buffalo, USA got 6 feet…SIX FEET …of snow in a 48 hr period… think about that for a minute…what it means for wildlife, for migratory birds, for hockey players who can’t get to the arena..lol..winter is perfect for sitting in front of a fire…inside.
